Meet Gros!

Meet Gros, a 5 year old Boxer mix in Fontana who has spent his life as a loyal and loving companion. Sadly, Gros now finds himself in need of a new home. His family is rehoming him after their adult son moved back in with a one year old baby and two dogs. Although Gros is great with kids, his excitement, like jumping and spinning, might accidentally knock over the baby, and the little one’s tendency to pull tails has raised concerns.

Gros hasn’t had much socialization with other dogs but has done well with the female dog his size. He does tend to bark at smaller dogs, so we recommend a home without small dogs. While he can be protective of his family, he warms up to strangers fairly quickly.

He’s neutered but still needs to be microchipped and have his vaccinations updated. Weighing around 70 pounds, Gros has unfortunately lost his freedom in the home and yard and is now spending most of his time in an outdoor kennel. The family is considering euthanasia if a new home or foster can’t be found, so we urgently need a committed foster or adopter to give Gros the loving life he deserves.
